ArmorSource Offers Government Officials a Direct Access to its Operational System after Winning $21M FMS Order
ArmorSource launched a feature that will allow the Government to track each of its lots through a secured SSL certificate access
ArmorSource LLC of Hebron Ohio, a vendor of Advanced Combat Helmets (ACH) and other advanced solutions to the U.S. Government and the sole supplier of Ultra-lightweight ACH ballistic helmets to NATO, through its procurement department of NAMSA at Europe, has decided to open its ERP system to Government officials.
The decision to let Contracting officers and other Government Officials a direct and secured channel to its operational system was taken after ArmorSource has recently been secured some FMS orders for the supply of approximately 260,000 Ballistic Helmets to the U.S. Government. These orders are now followed-up and reviewed by the Government Officials directly by entering into ArmorSource management and operational system.
Last May, shortly after its first win on the FMS project Congressman Bob Gibbs announced [http://gibbs.house.gov/video/congressman-bob-gibbs-announces-213-million-department-defense-contract-local-manufacturer ] that ArmorSource, LLC of Hebron, Ohio has been tapped to produce large number of Ground Troop Parachutist's Helmets (PASGT) on a Department of Defense Contract to supply the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) with personal armor systems for ground troop helmets. "The purpose of the new feature is to provide the most updated information at the most transparent, but also secured way", says Yoav Kapah, ArmorSource President. "Our message to our customers is 'get in the kitchen and watch how your meal is cooked'. However the access to our system is given currently only to U.S. Government authorized officials".
According to ArmorSource system administrator the response of the users to the new system met their earlier expectations in complete, and the system is used on a daily basis by most users that have started to use their SSL access and enter into the system as a routine sooner after they became users.
