Leidos Awarded Contract by North Atlantic Treaty Organization 

Solutions Company to Provide Systems Engineering and Integration Support

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a national security, health and engineering solutions company, was awarded a prime contract by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Communications and Information (NCI) Agency to provide systems engineering and integration support for the Ballistic Missile Defense Programme Office. The single-award firm-fixed-price contract has a four-year base period of performance, two one-year options plus one seven-month option, and a total contract value of $77 million if all options are exercised. The Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) System Engineering, Integration and Test contract is a follow-on to the Active Layer Theater Ballistic Missile Defense (ALTBMD) contract. Work will be performed in The Hague, Netherlands.  

The NCI Agency provides the Alliance with advanced information and communications technology and C4ISR, including cyber and missile defense. Under the contract, Leidos and its eight teammates drawn from Canada,France, Germany, The Netherlands, Turkey, the UK, and the US, will support the BMD program office working together as an integrated product team to deliver NATO BMD capability. The work includes development of the requirements for the BMD enhancements to the NATO C3 systems, including the refinement and maintenance of the NATO BMD architecture. The team will support the design, development and test of the interfaces of these systems to NATO and national weapons and sensors. They will also be responsible for the continued operation and periodic upgrade of the Integration Test Bed and the system prototypes used in that test bed.
